This weekend, I went home to have a mini-girl’s weekend with my Mom. David’s Bridal has been dying for me to pick up my dress, since the beginning of June, so we did that! It was crazy because when we ordered it, they said that it would take 3-4 months to come in and it ended up only taking 10 DAYS, i ‘ m n o t e v e n k i d d i n g. I thought it was going to be a huge rush to find the right one and buy it so that we didn’t have to put a rush on the order, but turns out I have it in my possession and it’s ready to be altered! I cannot wait to actually wear it!I also found an amazing deal on these cool little instax books in various colors at Michael’s – for only $1.49! I have been stalking them online and have yet to find them for under $10, so when I saw this deal I was pumped and bought 8 (which was basically all they had in the colors I liked). On Saturday morning, we went for massages and it was pretty heavenly. This picture doesn’t really do it justice but I’d love to decorate our entire (future) house like a spa (everything really plush, neutral, and comfy) so that being at home is a relaxing getaway. Mom and I did a little shopping. I’ve been looking for big girl work clothes for a while…I’m so ready to move on from the college look. And we stopped for cookies! (Guess which one is mine!)Here is the product of the shopping – three pair of work trousers, a nice pair of jeans, and two shirts for under $100. Both the Limited and Loft are having nice sales on these items right now. I super love their quality and fit, but normally not their prices. Sale items are definitely the way to go.On Sunday, we celebrated this lovely bride-to-be in St. Louis. SO pumped for their wedding and other festivities in less than two weeks!Since I’m obsessed with lighting, I had to grab this picture at the Country Club. The windows are so awesome.Annnnnnd…a sunset picture from last night.
Happy Monday, I hope you have a great week!
I went home this weekend to spend time taking some senior photos, relaxing and spending time with friends and family. I realized upon arriving, that I had packed rather poorly. I went to Target to remedy the issue and ended up buying this adorable floral shovel (for $3!!). I even took the photo outside so that I looked like I was using it…
I was particularly happy to be outside with the 60 and 70 degree weather. My family has this adorable little tree that produces NOT SMELLY flowers (aaaaand we actually have some of the bradford pears too), but this one is so pretty.B, my Momma and I all went to the wineries on Friday afternoon where we sipped the best wine I’ve ever tasted. Really.Brittany and I spent some time at the VB Chocolate Cafe. We both got lattes, my fav.Saturday night we went back to Ballpark Village to watch Hollywood 5 play. It was really fun and we even got some free food out of the deal, although we did have to wait an hour and send back cold food.
I hope you all had lovely weekends! Did you do anything fun?
Weekends at home are particularly fun.
Laughed my butt off with my Momma at the Arch and Zoo while taking pictures of/with Flat Stanley. The concrete thing in this picture is supposed to be a seal…which was the whole reason we are holding him like that…
Kevin and I went to his cousin’s wedding on Saturday. It was such a gorgeous day!
We also went to a St. Patrick’s Day parade with our families.
I am so thankful for this.
The night of the parade.
Relaxing by the outside fire pit at the wineries with Kevin.
Another trip to the greenhouse.
This weekend was all about…
…celebrating Alex’s 21st birthday.
…staying home because of the expected snow.
…eating BBC II with Momma, Eric and Kevin.
…laughing, painting and totally enjoying Mom’s day with Phi Lamb.
…watching the final episodes of House of Cards.
…checking off my personal nominations as I watch the Oscars.
This weekend was even better than I was expecting – I was so happy to have Momma up for Phi Lamb Mom’s Day, Kevin in town and much less snow than what was expected. I hope you also had a lovely weekend.
This weekend was good. This weekend was all about…
…rolling windows down.
…having fun with these ladies at big/little reveal on Thursday night.…heading home for 24 hours…so worth it.…celebrating Nana’s birthday and eating some amazing carrot cake.…hanging out with friends.
…and as always, studying like it’s my job…which it kind of is.
obsessed with this weekend.
we got tons of
snow ice, which sucked until we took an adventure to pizza hut.
i fell a couple of times, but what else is new?
he’s my favorite and so is this picture.
i slept until noon and then proceeded to take a nap (later on) which is so not like me, but balancing/ice skating is hard work.
later we got some pretty snow to cover up that ice. ideal.
expecting to get more of the white stuff.
mizzou is already cancelled for tomorrow, so that’s fun.
i’ve already started my snow day to-do list full of fun things.
and i’m not even bothering with school because, well, it’s a snow day and it’s going to affect my ability to study/be productive.
i don’t have many of these left, so i’m gonna enjoy it while i can.
