Smoothies are the perfect summer drink and a perfect way to get in a couple servings of fruit! At the beginning of the summer, I looked up some smoothie recipes but I didn’t find anything impressing and most of them had 300 calories per serving. So this summer, I spent plenty of time testing out different combinations and came out with something so simple (yet nutritious)!
Here is my recipe:
1 & 1/2 cups of strawberries (or a berry mixture-i liked blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries)
1 cup of 1% milk
1 small banana
2 cups of ice
1/8 teaspoon of vanilla
3 packets of sweet n low
All you have to do is blend all the ingredients together! It’s so easy!
This makes about 3 servings and is about 82 calories per serving!
Before the summer is over, I plan on trying one with protein for an after workout snack!
